Christmas Games

We are always on the look out for a good game for Christmas parties. Here is one I created and we plan to try this year! Of course, you can always put the slips of paper in a hat and draw them, but this way may *sweeten* the deal for the reluctant Scrooge of the bunch!

I’ll post a Chinese Fortune Cookie recipe soon! Watch for it!

Checkers, anyone?

Ephraim created a stunning checker board, using small tiles from a home improvement store. He attached them to the wooden base, framed it and added protective feet. The children were able to help too! It is sturdy and beautiful. For the checkers, he made small slices of wood, sanded them and painted them coordinating colors.

Mancala Nation!

A great game for two!
We have enjoyed many Mancala games using this set, crafted by Ephraim.

And I have to say, I love the colors in the glass beads with the light wood! 🙂 One of the cool things about making it yourself is that you get to make it the way you like it!
